6 Tips Every Bride Should Know Before Her Wedding

Wedding Day Advice

On your wedding day there are so many things to think about. Even before the day arrives you are planning and organizing everything that needs to be done. We have put together a list of our 5 favorite tips that every bride should know before her wedding day. These tips will make your life easier and more comfortable.

  1. Have a bottle of water on hand when you take pictures.

When taking pictures it’s easy to get overheated. Especially if it’s a hot wedding day with your formal attire. A bottle of water on hand will make all the difference while you navigate the venue for those must have photos.

  2. Ask the caterer to pack a meal for you to eat later.

You may find yourself too excited to fully eat, or maybe you have a lot of people to greet & hug, whatever it may be, you may not sit down long enough to enjoy the food.

  3. Ask for cake too

Ask the venue to save whatever cake is left, as you definitely want to snack on that the night of, or the day after!

  4. Designate a bathroom buddy.

It's not easy to pee in a long dress with multiple layers of fabric and/or a petticoat. You might need someone to come into the stall with you to get you situated.

  5. Keep your lipstick in someone’s coat pocket.

Even if your make-up is perfect and long lasting, you still may want to reapply at some point, but it's not worth carrying a purse. Give it to your new spouse or your dad or anyone you think you'll be able to locate and retrieve it as needed.

  6. Pause to make mental notes throughout the evening.

Despite all the time that goes into planning for the big day, the wedding itself lasts only a few hours and goes by quickly. Every once in a while, stop, look around, and really focus on what's happening. Take in those mental pictures of your best friend’s smile, and the people you spent time with the most.
